Here in my hometown (probably the whole country) these 2 guitars are the only
ones I can find in a store, to hear before I buy, that also fill in a price range.

Yamaha being slightly expensive (cca 500EU comparing to cca 400EU for
Rodriguez), which would be your choice?

I'm searching for a crisp sound similar to, for example, Gerardo's on
Encuentro's "La Guitarra Flamenca de Gerardo Nunez". I've already tried
Rodriguez Caballero model, and I liked it very much, although it is much cheaper
and not specifically flamenco guitar (cca 260EU).

thanks in advance
nikola

P.S.
for friends overseas: 500 EU = 600 USD

Well, la guitarra de Gerardo Nunez is about 5000 EU, so for 500 you will not
have his sound.
I have a YAMAHA CGX171SCF which is the same model (with micro )of the Yamaha
CG171SF. Really for the price the sound is really good, and the action of
the guitar is ok. By the way I think that the Yamaha you are speaking of is
a little less expensive, I will say the price turns around 380 EU. I found
that with google..
I hope that will help you....

Well, there's Yamaha for 350 USD using froogle, but I decided I want to hear it
before I buy it, and that costs here around 500 EU :(

I know I cannot have Gerardo's sound with cheap guitar. But Rodriguez Caballero
is rather near that (taking everything into account) for only 260EU. So that's
why I'm asking is yamaha worth it.

I never played a Rodriguez...
Ask your question to flamenco-teacher.com., some guys will surely have good
advice.
The best I think is to try both guitars and then it is up to you.
Good luck
