Hi All,

Some of you might like these videos of the legendary Rosenberg Trio.
These videos display some of their Latin/Flamenco influence.

Made for Isaac

Rio Ancho (Paco De Lucia)

Armando's Rumba (Chick Corea)

and a few videos by the amazing Raphael Fays. He's older and not as
well known, but he is an incredible player. Besides being a master
Gypsy jazz player, he also plays serious Flamenco and Classical. He's
done at least one CD of classical stuff....amazing versatility!

All of Me

Illusion

No, you are an ignorant baboon, who doesn't know one genre from
another. Your mother forgot to teach you how to act. Take a hike, fool.

Sorry but I'm not playing your game!
BTW I never said that about Mario Escudero - he was one of the best. For the
record Esteban is not a flamenco guitarist.

For the record Esteban is not a flamenco guitarist.
But he plays one on TV.

Seriously, the guy does have the marketing thing down pat. He's probably
the most profitable guy out there in the "Flamenco" bin at the record store.

Hey Antony, do you have any samples of your playing anywhere on the web?
I'd love to hear you play, man. I'd offer you some of my own, but we
include cajon and bass guitar/bass fiddle in my recordings and I know you
don't like those instruments in flamenco pura. But I still would like to
hear something you've done.

I don't mind cajon and violin if it's done tastfully so I'd still like to
hear your stuff. Paco de Lucia made some records with a sax player Pedro
Itturalde back in the late 60's "Jazz Flamenco". On one of those there is a
fabulous duo of guitar and sax doing a Solea. Here the sax immitates the
singer perfectly and there lies the clue. You can use many instruments like
viloin, sax, flute as long as you are playing flamenco but they don't they
play jazz which for me doesn't work.
I will send you a small demo duo which I did years ago. It's a bit rough.
When I do something decent next year if/when my hand gets better I send it
to you.

you can't hear anything from him
No! Antony does not have ANY samples. He knows more about flamenco than
ANYONE in the world..but not a sample to be heard.....hmmmmm....you
can't even go hear him in Australia..he can not play anymore because of
his injury... He has many excuses. Even Les Paul had an injury in which
the mere casual player would have given up playing but he continues on
to this day into his 80's. Bill Clements is a Michigan bass player with
one arm. Bill Cunningham is a one armed guitarist from Tulsa. Merrit
Jacob is a one armed guitarist from Tucson, and then there is that guy
with no arms who once played for the POPe. I once saw this kid Haywood
Macabre in New Jersey one armed and man he had chops to equal Van
Halen, Satriani, or Vai...my point is these guys make no excuses yet
Antony has plenty of excuses.

But he also has a big mouth....
I could tell you all how much I know about the Guitar and sound like a
big expert and throw my opinions around but until you actually hear ME
play or buy my CD it's all BULLSHIT! ......

Or you could ask him nicely, like I did. He sent me a few, which were
enjoyable to listen to. I can hardly wait for his complete recovery so that
he can record and perform again.
