Does anyone have any opinions about a series of 14 two-hour DVDs called
"Puro y Jondo"?

They are for sale at
http://www.esflamenco.com/scripts/list/enlist.asp?frmIdList=138 They seem
quite reasonably priced, but none of them listed on this site includes any
customer reviews.

While I'm asking, any other suggestions for DVDs for a newcomer (besides
Saura's Flamenco DVD).

Hello Andy,

I have done reviews on a few DVD's on Falseta.com.

This review are our picks for best Flamenco Guitar Instructional DVD's

should I buy? on Falseta.com</a>

This is a review of a performance DVD:

We have the entire set of Puro y Jondo also and will eventually crack
them open to review on the site. You may also want to post this
question to our <a href="http://www.falseta.com/forum">Flamenco Forum
at http://www.falseta.com/forum/</a> as I am sure one of our many users
has probably purchased some of the DVD's in the set.

Yeah... they look ok and cheap.. I have seen a couple of them.. worth
the money! I might actually buy a few myself..

I would also recommend the Vicente Amigo DVD.... but it depends if you
want an all round flamenco introduction or something special... Theres
also a DVD on Agujetas (also sings in Sauras movie) called "cantaor"...
very interesting, but if you are new to flamenco Agujteas might not be
to your taste!!
